This is not merely spiritual language — it is reflected in measurable realities throughout society. Millions struggle with mental and emotional distress. Suicide continues to impact youth and young adults at alarming levels. Substance abuse and opioid overdoses devastate families and communities every year.
When identity fractures, people often compensate through performance, image-building, comparison, and the pursuit of validation. What appears to be confidence is often camouflage. What appears to be “more” is frequently a desperate attempt to hide “less.”
This is the deception of pseudo self-promotion.
People learn how to project strength while silently suffering from instability. Social platforms amplify appearances while souls quietly deteriorate. Success becomes external rather than internal. Applause replaces authenticity.
Eventually, the cycle leads to spiritual stagnation.
